SYNOPSIS
Gospel recording artist, author, pastor, founder of the National Increase Peace Foundation, and survivor of a brutal gang shooting, Dr. Tony Davis shares a message of forgiveness and triumph over tragedy through a new faith-based film titled I Forgive that’s based on his life story.
June 30th, 2003, was the day Dr. Tony Davis’ life changed forever. He was traveling to pick up his wife from work when he was brutally shot five times by a Los Angeles gang. The attack left Dr. Davis with ten bullet holes and fighting for his life. He died for a total of 30 minutes, during which time he had an out-of-body experience and saw heaven before he came back to life.
The miraculous experience prompted Dr. Davis to write and arrange the gospel song My Everything, which is accompanied by accomplished pianist Ron Lowe and dedicated to God for healing his wounded body, as well as to pen his bestseller Heaven Is Real.
The faith-based film dramatizes the events of that traumatic day when Dr. Davis was brutally shot and left for dead while going about his business. It goes on to detail Dr. Davis’ incredible account of the afterlife and how he refused to allow the violence and hatred he’d experienced to make him a victim, instead choosing the path of forgiveness. In so doing, Dr. Davis triumphs over a tragedy – emotionally, physically, and spiritually – that very nearly cost him his life.
